I will forever be grateful to Mr. Gilbert DeLeon, the mentor who saw something in me before I even saw it in myself. As a first-year teacher, I had no idea what I was truly capable of. But he saw the potential—the gold—and gently pushed me toward leadership, confidence, and self-growth.

It wasn’t just that he encouraged me—he expected more from me, and that expectation was the spark that ignited my journey. His unwavering belief in me pushed me to step up, take risks, and pursue leadership beyond what I ever imagined.

Sometimes, all it takes is one person who believes in you to change the course of your life. Mr. DeLeon’s mentorship shaped not only my career but also my passion for paying it forward. Now, I take that same belief and pass it on, helping others see their own potential.
